Spectacular golf in the Mens May Medal with magnificent scoring throughout the weekend.

Gavin Dunne set the target on Saturday morning with a brilliant 64 but was edged out of third place by Tom Ainsworth on countback. Gareth Patel produced a gross 7 par 88 for a nett 63 to sit as leader in the Clubhouse and hoping for a sudden gale force wind to arrive from somewhere........................anywhere!

But sadly for Gareth the wind did not emerge, but Vincent O'Keeffe did! Playing off 10 Vincent produced a round of golfing elegance, touch and power to bring home a gross one over par 72 (yes I said gross). An early bogey on 3 was surrounded by 8 pars to see him complete the outward journey in one over 36. A completely out of character double bogey five on 10 was quickly mitigated with a birdie on 11. A birdie, bogey, birdie finish completed a back nine of 36 and a nett 62 for the round. Tough on Gareth whose 63 would have won many previous medals but who could deny the best round of the year to date. With a 72 gross in May I think we should invite the Golf Channel around for June and July!!

Congratulations Vincent a mesmerising round of golf and a fully deserved medal!
